Collaborative Attorneys
The role of the attorney in the Collaborative Divorce process is to educate and counsel his or her client, to manage conflict, to guide interest-based negotiation and to assist the parties in implementing agreements. Each party is represented by an attorney, and the attorneys and their clients actively work together throughout the Collaborative Divorce process, albeit each client still holds a private and confidential relationship with their attorney. The attorney members of Coastal Collaborative Colleagues are specially trained in the Collaborative Divorce model.
